Eric Silverberg
Position: Head of Boats
Educational Status:
Eric is currently in his second year of studies at the University of Western Ontario. He plans to attend the Ivey School of Business in the fall of 2008.
Previous Camp Experience:
Eric started his camping career at Green Acres Day Camp when he was four years old. It did not take long for Eric to make the switch to his new summer home and this will be his 10th consecutive summer at Wahanowin. He started out at Waha when he was a senior camper in 1999 and hasn't looked back since. Eric was a CIT in 2004 and since then he has spent three summers as part of Wahanowin's sail staff. Eric is looking forward to the new challenge of being the "Head of Boats" in 2008.
Favourite Camp Memory/Why you chose Wahanowin: It is impossible for Eric to choose one favourite camp memory. Whether it was hanging out at the firepit, performing in one of the countless plays in the Phyllis Weisfeld theatre, going on the amazing LTP trip to Niagara falls, or winning the CIT of the Year award, Eric has loved every moment.
In general, Eric keeps returning to Wahanowin year after year because of the amazing relationships he has made. Witnessing and being a part of the Wahanowin life cycle has been one of the most amazing experiences of his life. Growing up with his best friends, forging relationships with his amazing staff members, and finally building strong bonds with his campers are what keeps Eric coming back for more. He can't wait to continue his Wahanowin career in 2008!
