Ed Stubbing

Position: Head of Sail

General Information:
Ed is originally from the South Coast of England where sailing is in the blood. After an amazing summer last year on Sail, Ed is looking forward to running the program again. Ed has learnt a lot from last years experiences and has many great plans and ideas to make this summer’s Sail even better!

Educational Status:
Ed is about to start his final year of an honours degree in Human Geography at Brock University. Prior to coming to Canada, Ed went to University in Southampton, England, where he studied Computer Science.

Previous Camp Experience:
Ed is returning to Camp Wahanowin for his third summer. Ed has been sailing since he was a ‘wee little chap’, and he has a lot of experience in all sorts of boats. Ed has also gained a lot of experience of working with Kids. As well as being a coach for several different sports, he also spent a year in New Zealand working as a boarding hostel supervisor at a secondary school.

Favourite Camp Memory/Why you chose Wahanowin:
Ed has many fond memories of Camp Wahanowin. Although Ed did not have a chance to be a camper at Wahanowin, he has grown to love camp, and eagerly anticipates it every year. Some of Ed’s favourite things about camp are the excellent staff and campers he gets to work with everyday. Ed also enjoys the food at camp, with worms and mud being one of his favourites!
