Terry Schonberger
Position: Program Director
General Information:
Terry is currently working as an education assistant at Regent Park/Duke of York Public School and at the Red Door Family Shelter. A former journalist, Terry’s passion for advocating children’s rights and working with children led him toward a career in the teaching field.
Terry will be attending teachers’ college in the fall. Previously, he participated in the two year graduate journalism program at Ryerson University (2004-2006) after two years of study at the University of Toronto and two years at York University where he received his Honours B.A. with a double major in English and Sociology (1999-2003).
Terry has lot's of previous camp experience, including:"Extra "Wrangler" (King of the Camp, 2007) Senior Unit Head (Wahanowin 2007), Eagles Unit Head (Wahanowin 2005, 2006), Unit Head/Music Specialist (Richmond Hill Day Camp, 1998-2000/2002-2004), Theatre Staff (Walden, 2000), Music Theatre Faculty/Guitar Staff (National Music Camp, 1998-2006).
Terry is back at Wahanowin as the Program Director after three great summers as a Unit Head. He is looking forward to running some amazing programs and sharing in those great camp activities, theme days and experiences that make Waha so unique and special!
